This was the quickest remodel I have done. Took me about a week. It was a small bathroom.
I don’t even know where to start with this one. This bathroom was a mess. It was in the basement of Sherry’s house. She used it every morning to take a shower. Basically, it was a shower stall out of trailer, sitting on the floor drain. At the time , when I offered to do it, I thought putting a shower in the basement would be “no problem”. I had visions of gluing tile to the cement floor. Boy was I wrong.
Here are the before and after pictures.
I officially declared the flooring project done yesterday. I am not technically done, but I think I only have about 3 more hours or total work left. Close enough. I will post the final pictures once all of the furniture gets delivered. I spent the last week, doing stupid things like finished all the transitions, and the stairs, and putting together the new shelves.
No one really cares what day it is. I don’t. Seems like this has been going on forever. This must be what jail is like. You know know when it started, or when it’s going to end. You know just know that today it’s happening.
It felt like the flooring was never going go into the family room.
I was feeling better by this afternoon so I helped Sherry paint the family room. Not sure what was wrong with me. Sherry probably caught wind of my “mexico” plan and put something in my food to slow me down. Sherry is the painter. She’s in charge of the paint. She picks the paint colors, because I am clinically color blind. Paint is Sherry’s job.
I felt like crap when I got home from work, I think I started pulling off the trim in the dinning room. Sherry could tell I wasn’t feeling good, and wasn’t up for working. So we quit and took Abby to Friday’s.
I am tired. I don’t feel like typing this. I don’t care if the floor ever gets finished. I am seriously contemplating pretending to go to work tomorrow, circling back, getting the bare necessities and heading to Mexico. I don’t even care.
My only goal tonight was to get a light hanging in the new dining room. That didn’t happen.
