This is all going to seem a bit ridiculous. The point of this exercise isn’t to build some brackets I could have bought. It’s to learn some skills I can use to build something I am going to need someday that I can’t buy. Below are the brackets in question. They are 100 dollars on Etsy.
I’ve been working out in the yard a lot getting mulch done and what not, so that I can do another big push on the kitchen. In my spare time I’ve made a few things.
I didn’t get to make anything for anyone for Christmas, because my shop is littered with kitchen cabinets. I did however throw together a quick box for a book I got for Freddy. Freddy loves Steve McQueen and metal, so I decided to make a box out of some sheet metal I had laying around.
I’ve been slowly assembling my anvil and forge. My plan is to eventually make furniture, for sale. I am not going to lie, I will pound out a few knives, but for the most part, I just want to be able to add metal to my furniture. I’ll have some pictures eventually, of the forge and anvil.
I wanted to get my boy TA something nice for Christmas. He’s been talking about Big House Bourbon a lot since I turned him on to it. I started out looking for a nice whiskey decanter, but ultimately decided to make something. Go figure.
