Never ask Walt

You should never ask Walt for a visual aid to explain something.

I was having trouble understanding how a switch in my kitchen was powering a light.   Below is the diagram he sent me.

Looking at this shaved a few points off of my IQ, and I really don’t have points to give.

Kitchen Prologue 4

I have shown a few people my 3D model and have gotten some good feedback.  One of the reasons I started blogging about this stuff was to get input from other people.  In this case I missed a very obvious  change to my plan that several of my friends pointed out.    It’s turning into a major project, but it’s worth it.

Kitchen Prologue

This a prologue, because I am not actually starting the kitchen project.   I am going from room to room on the first floor and deciding the new floor plan.  That’s it.   Currently there are 3  areas that make up the kitchen and dinning room.   This is not counting the actual dining room, which I am converting to an office.     Once again, I didn’t take a “before picture”.  So I’ll do my best to explain.

Wall Day 4

The wall is done.   I actually finished it over Christmas break but haven’t had time/felt like posting the pictures.    Hanging drywall is generally uneventful, once I learned that nothing in a house  ever square and you have to measure all 4 sides.   Unless, of course,  you are hanging dry wall with Walter Jevack, then it can get out of hand.   Here are the pictures.    As a side note, if you didn’t know, you can click on all the pictures to make them bigger.
